Included with every new GoDaddy account, Airo™ provides AI agent tools such as a website builder, logo generator, marketing and compliance assistant and more.
Significant Financial Performance & Adoption
Airo™ was a significant transition for GoDaddy's financial performance.
It's the big reason the company made $4.6 billion in 2024, up 8% from 2023.
Why it’s working:
Airo is super popular. It has nearly 3 million users.
Airo Plus is cheap. At $5/month, it offers unlimited access to AI features.
Airo is efficient. 72% of users get more done, 61% make more money.
Airo is promising. GoDaddy found that Airo saves businesses $4,000 and 300 hours annually, while businesses using it generate 28% more sales.

Problem
As GoDaddy Airo™ became more popular and started driving more revenue to the company, teams began building more AI experiences.
Maintaining consistency and scalability has become a challenge.
To support this, a dedicated design team was created but there's was none to zero guidance on how to design for AI at this point… It was early 2023, everyone was still figuring out how to design for AI.
The biggest challenge I worked on was figuring out how we could anticipate how algorithmic behavior impacts UX, especially as AI introduces dynamic design and unpredictable elements.
Process
Together we started by introducing a flexible chat framework, back when conversational AI was just starting in 2023.
I helped take the first steps in creating what later became known as:
I designed the patterns and components for Airo™ Assistant, validating them through a governance channel by reviewing designers’ use cases.

As generative experiences and agentic AI workflows expanded, Airo Assistant became too limited ( it was too narrow).
We needed a broader solution to support GoDaddy’s diverse use cases and that’s how Airo™ HQ was born.
Similar to Airo Assistant, I created the components, framework usage for develops with content usage and specs for developers.

Results
Both Airo™ HQ and Airo Assistant were used by over 90 designers and more than 800 people directly involved with AI experiences at GoDaddy.
